Lauren E. Wiznia, MD, FAAD provides compassionate, personalized care to all of her patients.

Lauren E. Wiznia, MD, FAAD is a board certified dermatologist and an attending physician at New York University Langone Medical Center in the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology. As a member of the voluntary faculty at NYU, she teaches dermatology residents and medical students in a weekly clinic. In 2022, she was awarded the Part-Time Attending of the Year Award by the NYU dermatology residents for the NYU Skin and Cancer Unit. In addition to teaching at NYU, Dr. Wiznia has a dermatology practice in Manhattan. 

Dr. Wiznia attended college at Yale University, from which she graduated with distinction. She attended and received her M.D. from the Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Wiznia completed an internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai St Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, New York. She received her specialty training in dermatology and dermatologic surgery at New York University School of Medicine in the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology, consistently one of the highest-ranked dermatology residency programs in the country. Dr. Wiznia has authored textbook chapters and published numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical and dermatology journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, JAMA Dermatology, and the American Journal of Medicine. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She is a member of the Women’s Dermatologic Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the American Acne and Rosacea Society. She also is a Castle Connolly Top Doctor.

Dr. Wiznia uses the most up-to-date techniques so that she can provide the best care for each patient. She is sensitive to the impact skin disease has on patients and employs a personalized approach.
